Equipment Maintenance Technician I (2nd Shift)

Location: Winona, MN
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 1:30 PM-12:00 AM
Pay: $26.44/hour + Shift Differential

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Technician I to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment and facility systems. This role is critical to keeping equipment running efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting production goals.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow technical skills while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations involving motor controls, fuses, circuit breakers, PLCs, and related components.
• Diagnose and repair equipment utilizing pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, bearings, and mechanical systems.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment.
• Support maintenance of SMT placement equipment, wave solder systems, selective solder equipment, and related production machinery.
• Fabricate fixtures, benches, shelving, support frames, and production equipment as needed.
• Assist with plumbing, piping, compressed air, vacuum, hydraulic, and utility systems.
• Perform low-voltage electrical repairs and installations.
• Maintain facility grounds, infrastructure, and building systems.
• Clean, inspect, calibrate, paint, and rebuild equipment as needed.
• Document maintenance activities within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, and industrial equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota Special Engineer Boiler License (or higher) within one year of employment.

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical Degree, Maintenance Certificate, or related education.
• 1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience maintaining SMT placement equipment, wave solder equipment, or other electronics manufacturing equipment.
• Experience using CMMS software.
