Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Shawnee is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Industrial Maintenance Technician for a well-established company in Kansas City, KS. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial laundry equipment and facility systems to ensure efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, basic electrical knowledge, and a willingness to learn. Previous industrial maintenance experience is preferred, but training is available for candidates with a strong mechanical background.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial washers, dryers, conveyors, and other production equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing issues.

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and minimize production downtime.

• Assist with general facility maintenance and repairs.

• Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.

• Work closely with maintenance leadership to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities required.

• Previous industrial maintenance or equipment repair experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems is a plus.

• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical maintenance tasks.

• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment.

• Flexibility to work overtime or occasional Saturdays as needed.
