Position: Warehouse Associate
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Summary

Express Employment is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, picking, packing, and distributing plumbing materials and supplies. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments of plumbing products and materials.
• Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks using proper safety procedures.
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist customers and contractors with material pickups when required.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and inventory tracking experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying materials.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
