Material Mover Specialist

Salary: $18.75

Job Duties: 

• Order Fulfillment and Material Transport:
  • Accurately locate materials and orders within the warehouse and shipping lanes 
  • Transport material to appropriate locations and departments for further processing or packing 
  • Load trailers with completed orders, ensuring proper handling and organization of materials
• Inventory Management: 
  • Update material locations and quantities in the handheld scanning system 
  • Ensure that materials are properly stacked, wrapped, and labeled for shipment 
  • Perform regular checks to ensure inventory is in the correct location 
• Safely and Equipment Handling: 
  • Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment, following OSHA and DOT regulations 
  • Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use to ensure they are safe and operational 
  • Handle materials using appropriate equipment like banders, wrappers, and box cutters 
• Collaboration and Communication: 
  • Communicate with utility workers to ensure timely and accurate packing of orders 
  • Provide necessary information and updates to driver, management, and other teams, ensuring smooth communication through radio, email, and phone 
  • Work closely with other team members to meet production and shipping goals 
• Administrative Tasks: 
  • Close bills and ensure all necessary documentation is completed for shipping 
  • Ensure all pallets are properly wrapped, labeled, and ready for shipment 
  • Keep accurate records of material movements and updates in the system 

Requirements: 

• Must have High School Diploma or GED 
• Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or similar field 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Basic math and time management skills 
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks 
• Proficient with material handling equipment, including forklifts, wrappers, and scanners
• Experience with forklift driving and using a pallet jack 
• Experience with the following equipment: Forklift, pallet jack, wrapper, bander, box cutters, tape gun, hand held scanner for inventory updates, radio, phone and email for communication 
• Able to push, pull, bend, stoop
• Able to work in warehouse with varying temperature conditions - hot in summer, cold in winter, high noise levels

Work Schedule: 9am to - 5pm Monday - Friday w/ OT as needed including weekends
