POSITION SUMMARY

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a dependable Food Truck Driver & Cook for a growing local food-service company. This hands-on position combines driving, food preparation, cooking, customer service, and daily truck operations.

This is a VERY fast-paced position! Candidates must be comfortable staying on their feet throughout the day, lifting and handling 35–50 lb buckets, and keeping up with a busy food-service environment.

JOB DUTIES

• Safely drive food trucks to scheduled locations and events.

• Set up the truck and prepare for daily service.

• Prepare and cook food according to established procedures.

• Take customer orders, operate the register, and process payments.

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.

• Maintain food temperatures and follow food-safety standards.

• Clean fryers, equipment, counters, floors, and work areas.

• Lift and move buckets weighing 35–50 lbs throughout the day.

• Stock food, supplies, and equipment.

• Complete opening and closing duties and checklists.

• Assist with inventory, restocking, setup, and teardown.

• Fuel trucks and generators when required.

• Work at regular locations, festivals, private events, and community events.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license and comfort driving a food truck.

• Oregon Food Handler Card required.

• Reliable transportation to and from the company's home base.

• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.

• Ability to repeatedly lift and handle 35–50 lb buckets throughout the workday.

• Ability to work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow procedures.

• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

The business operates 5–7 days per week. Schedules vary depending on locations, events, staffing, and business needs.

Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is important. Full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities may be available.

Weekly overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs and event schedules.

SERVICE AREA

Food trucks operate throughout Salem and surrounding areas, traveling to businesses, festivals, private events, and community events.
