Quality Inspector III – Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing

Location: Bertram, TX
Pay: $35.00–$45.00 per hour DOE

A growing manufacturing facility in Bertram, TX is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector III to inspect precision components, mechanical assemblies, and complex manufacturing products.

What You'll Do

Quality Inspection & Testing

• Perform detailed inspections on mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components and assemblies.
• Inspect precision-manufactured parts, equipment, and complex assemblies.
• Verify products meet engineering drawings, design specifications, and testing requirements.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and technical inspections throughout manufacturing.
• Develop and follow detailed inspection plans and procedures.
• Ensure all required inspections and product acceptance activities are completed accurately.

Blueprints & Precision Measurement

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain inspection equipment, tool control, and calibration records.
• Verify measuring equipment and metrology systems are functioning properly.
• Support inspections involving complex mechanical systems and precision components.

Quality Control & Documentation

• Identify, document, and report product defects and non-conforming materials.
• Prepare and maintain non-conformance reports (NCRs) and inspection records.
• Quarantine and process materials that do not meet quality requirements.
• Collect and track manufacturing quality data, including first-pass yield and defect trends.
• Perform basic statistical analysis to identify recurring quality issues.
• Ensure products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, military, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Experience with quality inspection procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Familiarity with aerospace, military, government, or equivalent industry quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and inspection procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing production priorities and processes.
