Tool & Die Technician / Tooling Processor

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Location: West Phoenix, AZ

A leading metal manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Technician / Tooling Processor to join its growing team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience working with tooling, dies, metal components, machine operation, precision measurements, and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production by maintaining tooling, processing tooling components, and ensuring equipment is operating efficiently to meet quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
• Inspect tooling and metal components for wear, damage, and quality concerns.
• Process tooling components according to production specifications and engineering requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring tooling availability and readiness for production schedules.
• Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve tooling and process issues.
• Perform die changes, tooling adjustments, and equipment setups as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Tool & Die Technician, Tooling Processor, Tooling Technician, Machinist, CNC Operator, or related manufacturing position preferred.
• Experience working in a metal manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with measuring equipment, hand tools, and precision instruments.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of tooling maintenance, die repair, machining, or metal fabrication processes preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
