General Laborer

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm

Position Summary

General Laborers support the powder coating production process by loading and unloading parts, preparing materials for coating, masking products, packaging finished goods, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing setting and are willing to learn powder coating operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load and unload metal parts onto racks and conveyor systems.
• Prepare parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, plugging, and inspecting surfaces.
• Remove completed parts from production lines and package finished products.
• Assist powder coating operators and production personnel as needed.
• Perform basic quality inspections to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
• Move materials throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with assembly, packaging, and other production-related tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, dust, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to safely handle and move metal parts and finished products.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, powder coating, painting, fabrication, or assembly.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience.
• Basic measuring and inspection skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
