Compensation: $60,000 annually plus commission based on solar capacity installed

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Commercial Solar Site Supervisor to oversee commercial solar installation projects from initial preparation through final testing and project closeout. This role involves coordinating construction crews, monitoring project progress, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring installations meet project specifications and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial construction, electrical work, or solar installations, along with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Previous solar industry experience is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee commercial solar installation projects to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Review and verify construction drawings, electrical blueprints, schematics, and installation plans.
Confirm materials, equipment, and inventory are available before construction begins.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and other project stakeholders to maintain project schedules and meet key milestones.
Supervise mechanical and electrical construction crews, provide direction, and resolve onsite questions or issues.
Ensure construction teams understand and follow approved drawings, specifications, and installation procedures.
Monitor work quality and compliance with applicable safety requirements, electrical codes, and project standards.
Conduct or coordinate onsite system testing, inspections, and commissioning activities.
Identify and resolve outstanding punch-list items and assist with project closeout.
Communicate project updates, address concerns, and help keep work progressing according to schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to commercial job sites.
Experience in construction supervision, electrical work, project coordination, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
Working knowledge of electrical principles, materials, tools, and equipment.
Demonstrated ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Basic mathematical and measurement skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, squatting, reaching, and kneeling.
Willingness to work overtime as project demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience overseeing commercial solar PV installations.
Familiarity with solar electrical systems, installation procedures, and commissioning.
Experience supervising electrical or mechanical construction crews.
Relevant electrical licenses, solar certifications, or construction-related credentials, where applicable.
