Industrial Shop Supervisor  

We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Painting Shop Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our liquid paint and powder coating department. This role is responsible for supervising approximately 10 employees while actively working alongside the production team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to customer specifications.
The successful candidate will oversee all phases of production, including surface preparation, blasting, masking, coating application, curing/baking, finishing, quality verification, and documentation.

Shift- 7:30-4pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $20-28

Duties:

• Plan, schedule, and assign daily work using job travelers and production schedules.
• Coordinate workflow through all production stages:
   o Surface Preparation / Blasting
   o Masking
   o Liquid Painting and Powder Coating
    o Curing / Baking
    o Final Inspection and Finishing
• Work directly with employees to support production needs and maintain efficiency.
• Monitor production progress and address bottlenecks as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

• Experience in an industrial coatings environment involving both liquid paint and powder coating systems.
• Previous supervisory experience or proven success in a lead or lead-person role.
• Strong knowledge of:
  o Surface preparation and blasting
  o Coating application techniques
  o Powder coating processes
  o Cure and bake procedures
• Familiarity with coating quality verification methods, including Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurement.
• Ability to read and interpret:
  o Job travelers
  o Production documents
  o Blueprints and drawings
  o Coating specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a hands-on supervisory role.
