Job Title: Assembly Technician II

$18.75 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician II to perform advanced boat assembly tasks, including installation of mechanical systems, components, cabinetry, hardtops, and other boat features. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install boat components, including fuel, engine, and ballast systems, windshields, cabinetry, upholstery, and navigation equipment.
• Complete production tasks within established timelines and quality standards.
• Read tape measures, drawings, and sketches to ensure accurate assembly.
• Handle parts and products carefully to prevent damage.
• Inspect work and report defects or quality concerns.
• Clean boat interiors, exteriors, and storage compartments using approved cleaning products.
• Complete final packaging and prepare boats for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production needs across multiple work cells and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Experience using drill/drivers, woodworking tools, pneumatic hand tools, and shop equipment is required.
• Ability to read measurements, basic drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb in and out of boats and work at heights above four feet using required fall protection.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Schedule & Environment

• Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts, with frequent overtime.
• Manufacturing environment that may be hot and non-climate-controlled.
• Hands-on work involving tools, machinery, chemicals, and boat components.
• Safety glasses are required on the production floor, with appropriate gloves required when handling chemicals or cutting tools.
