Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Assembly Technician I to assist with boat assembly, finishing, cleaning, and final packaging in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on tool experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly tasks involving boat decks, hulls, trim, and final assembly.
• Complete assigned tasks within production time requirements.
• Handle parts and products carefully to prevent damage.
• Clean boat interiors, exteriors, and storage compartments using approved cleaning products.
• Complete final packaging and prepare boats for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Identify and report quality issues or defects.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience using drill/drivers, woodworking tools, pneumatic hand tools, and shop equipment is required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic drawings or sketches.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights above four feet while using required fall protection.
• Must follow safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Schedule & Environment

• Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts, with frequent overtime.
• Manufacturing environment that may be hot and non-climate-controlled.
• Exposure to moving equipment, overhead cranes, vibration, and shop tools.
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, appropriate gloves, and safety equipment when working at heights or around machinery.
