We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Porter for a property management company. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property, including cleaning breezeways, performing general maintenance tasks, and painting as needed. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working outdoors, performing physical labor, and completing tasks independently while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain apartment breezeways, hallways, stairwells, and common areas.

Sweep, mop, and remove debris from walkways and shared spaces.

Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the property's common areas.

Complete painting tasks, including touch-ups and repainting as needed.

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying primer when necessary.

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building exteriors and surrounding areas.

Remove trash and debris from designated areas.

Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage.

Requirements

Previous porter, janitorial, groundskeeping, painting, or general maintenance experience preferred.

Experience with basic painting techniques and surface preparation is a plus.

Ability to perform cleaning duties and maintain breezeways and common areas.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.

Must be able to lift and move cleaning supplies, tools, and materials as required.

Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

 

Must be able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as needed
