• Full time   7:00am to 3:30pm Monday  -  Friday
• Weekend & Overtime:  As needed

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Housekeeper/Janitorial position/

 

Position Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of company facilities.  This position performs a variety of custodial duties to support daily operations and ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment for employees and visitors.

 

The successful candidate will be dependable, maintain reliable attendance, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively with others.

 

Essential Duties:

• Maintain acceptable appearance and cleanliness of offices,  lunchrooms, and conference rooms, and floors.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Sweep and maintain shop floors and designated clean room areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and collect litter from outdoor areas, including parking lots and facility grounds.
• Support production departments by performing housekeeping and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Clean and maintain sweep records storage areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform work in a safe manner.
• Inspect, clean, and replace air conditioner filters in all units as needed to support efficient operation of HVAC equipment.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of fabrication shop practices and safety procedures preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely operate applicable tools and equipment after receiving required training.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and interact courteously and effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and visitors.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in a fabrication shop environment and may involve exposure to hot, cold, dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions.
• Regular exposure to normal shop and industrial hazards.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, and pushing/pulling materials or equipment.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required.
