Inventory Specialist

 

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a detail-oriented, self-motivated Inventory Specialist to develop and implement an effective inventory management system for its manufacturing operations. This hands-on role focuses on organizing inventory, establishing procedures, maintaining accurate records, and improving inventory accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and organizational skills and can independently develop and implement effective processes.

 

This is a full-time position that is temporary that will end when the inventory processes are completed and standardized. Pay is $24/hr and the work schedule is Mon-Thur 6:00am-4:30pm. Fridays are off!

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop an organized inventory identification, labeling, and location system.
• Establish standardized procedures for receiving, storing, tracking, and reconciling inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking tools, and reports.
• Implement cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Establish inventory levels and monitoring procedures to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Track material usage, transfers, returns, and adjustments throughout production.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, accountability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Shipping, and Receiving to ensure consistent inventory practices.
