Starting Pay: $18.00/Hour Increase to $21.57/Hour Upon Hire
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Stock Handler - Shipping for a stable and growing manufacturing company in Aurora, IL. Position Overview
As a Stock Handler - Shipping Associate, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, staging, and loading products for customer delivery while ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met. This role plays a critical part in keeping shipping operations running efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, package, and stage products for shipment.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, package, and band products, bases, and accessories.
- Operate hand tools, air staplers, vinyl cutters, and punch presses.
- Build wooden crates and shrink-wrap products for shipping.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, two-wheelers, and overhead cranes.
- Verify product quantities and shipping information for accuracy.
- Follow work orders, shipping instructions, and warehouse maps.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required; overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic computer skills; ERP system experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with inventory and shipping processes.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
