Express Employment - Baltimore is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Operations Technician to support the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of facility equipment and operational systems. The ideal candidate will help ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimize downtime, and maintain consistent production and supply availability.
The Operations Technician will monitor equipment performance, identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues, perform routine preventative maintenance, and collaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel, and other team members to resolve equipment problems. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and operational efficiency.

Monitor and operate facility equipment, machinery, work platforms, and operational systems to ensure safe and efficient performance.

Perform routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential malfunctions, unusual operating conditions, or maintenance needs.

Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize equipment downtime and maintain productivity.

Assist engineers and maintenance personnel with diagnosing equipment failures, implementing repairs, and resolving recurring operational problems.

Conduct preventative maintenance activities, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of basic components as assigned and qualified.

Monitor equipment readings, operating parameters, alarms, and system indicators to identify performance issues or deviations from established standards.

Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, operating conditions, and reported issues.

Communicate equipment concerns, safety hazards, and operational irregularities to supervisors and appropriate maintenance personnel.

Support the movement and availability of materials, supplies, and equipment needed to maintain daily operations.

Follow established operating procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards when operating or maintaining equipment.

Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, testing, and operational checks as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and workplace safety.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous experience in operations, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, equipment operation, or a related field preferred.

Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Familiarity with industrial machinery, facility systems, monitoring equipment, or preventative maintenance practices is a plus.

Ability to read and follow written instructions, operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
