Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled MIG Welder to join a manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience MIG welding metal components, following welding specifications, and producing quality welds in a production environment. Candidates should be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on metal components and assemblies according to job specifications.
Set up and adjust welding equipment based on material type and thickness.
Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications.
Prepare metal surfaces and parts for welding.
Position, align, and secure materials before welding.
Inspect completed welds for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
Identify and correct welding defects as needed.
Use hand tools and measuring equipment to complete assignments accurately.
Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous MIG welding experience preferred or required, depending on the position.
Basic understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
Ability to read measurements and follow written or verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Willingness to complete a welding test, if required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position.
Ability to work around heat, sparks, welding fumes, and industrial noise while using appropriate protective equipment.
Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and metal components.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Employees must follow established safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and produce quality work while meeting production expectations.
