3rd shift Logistics / Inventory Specialist - Baton Rouge, LA

FULL-TIME/LONG-TERM/EVALUATION HIRE

$18-20 / HR

11 pm – 7 am Sunday - Thursday

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a 3rd shift Logistics / Inventory Specialist for a local client in Baton Rouge.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Inventory Specialist:  

• Oversee and execute all vendor receiving tasks
• Material handling
• Develop and implement effective inventory management procedures
• Ensure proper labeling of warehouse inventory storage locations
• Collaborate with department leads to optimize inventory management
• Organize and conduct daily physical cycle counts and perpetual counts.
• handling paperwork for shipping and receiving duties. 
• loading and unloading flat bed trucks. 
• Forklift operating, and overhead crane operating. 
• Serving as a backup supervisor when needed. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Proficiency with inventory management software
• Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role
• Proven experience in shipping and receiving duties
• Supervisory and leadership experience
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Forklift experience is a PLUS
• Overhead crane experience is a PLUS
• Working knowledge using measuring tapes
