Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Control Specialist for a manufacturing and distribution facility in Lenexa, KS. This position is ideal for someone with inventory control experience who enjoys maintaining accurate records, investigating discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Location: Lenexa, KS
Pay: $19.00–$21.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: Manufacturing/Warehouse
Perform daily inventory cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and process necessary adjustments.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory systems.
Track product locations and ensure proper identification of materials and components.
Research inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare inventory reports and communicate findings to management.
Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
Follow established inventory procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
2–3 years of inventory control or cycle counting experience preferred.
Experience with computerized inventory systems, MRP, or similar software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Forklift experience highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
Ability to investigate discrepancies and solve problems independently.
Strong math, communication, and documentation skills.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, and count materials on shelves, racks, and pallets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety procedures.
