Custodian / Day Porter

Location: Norman and Moore, OK
Schedule: Daytime hours, 5 days per week
Work Locations: Norman (3 days per week) and Moore (2 days per week)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian / Day Porter to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and the overall appearance of two facilities. This position focuses on maintaining high-traffic areas throughout the workday, including lobbies, restrooms, conference rooms, hallways, clinical/exam rooms, entrances, and exterior areas.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to work independently while responding to daily cleaning needs. Responsibilities also include restocking supplies, laundering towels and cleaning materials, assisting with exam room preparation, responding to spills, and performing occasional light maintenance and facility-support tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, lobbies, waiting rooms, conference rooms, hallways, and offices.
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces, furniture, tables, and chairs.
• Sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Restock restroom supplies, exam rooms, and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with cleaning and preparing exam rooms.
• Wash, dry, fold, and restock towels and cleaning cloths.
• Respond to spills and other immediate cleaning needs.
• Remove trash and litter from entrances, sidewalks, and surrounding outdoor areas.
• Assist with moving furniture and completing minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or low supplies to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Location and Schedule

This is a multi-site daytime position serving two locations.

• Norman: 3 days per week

• Moore: 2 days per week

The employee will report directly to the assigned facility each day. Specific workdays at each location will be determined by the supervisor and may change based on staffing needs, inspections, special events, projects, or other operational requirements.

Reliable transportation between the Norman and Moore locations is required.

Position Emphasis

This is primarily a daytime cleaning and facility-support position, not a traditional evening janitorial role. The primary responsibility is to keep both facilities clean, sanitary, stocked, and ready for daily operations while employees, patients, and visitors are present.

Priority duties include restroom maintenance and restocking, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, maintaining exam rooms and common areas, responding to spills, keeping entrances and exterior areas presentable, managing laundry and supplies, and completing occasional light maintenance tasks.
