Position Summary

This position is with one of our clients, at their Pacific, MO facility; Express is recruiting on their behalf. The CNC Machine Operator sets up and runs CNC equipment from blueprints and setup sheets, holding tolerance while meeting daily output and quality targets.

Type	Full-time, hourly, [temp-to-hire]
Shift	2nd Shift, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.; occasional overtime
Pay	$19.50 per hour. Overtime to be paid at time and a half.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC machine from job travelers, setup sheets and blueprints.
Load and unload material and finished parts; change tooling, inserts and fixtures as needed.
Monitor cycles for tool wear, alarms and abnormal conditions, and make offset adjustments to hold tolerance.
Check dimensions with calipers, micrometers and gauges; flag anything out of spec to the lead.
Record production counts, scrap, downtime and inspection results.
Deburr, clean and package finished parts; maintain coolant levels and clear chips.
Keep the work area clean and follow all client safety, lockout/tagout and PPE rules.

Required qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
CNC operating experience, or a machining certificate or apprenticeship.
Able to read blueprints and setup sheets, and use calipers, micrometers and gauges.
Comfortable with basic shop math and repetitive hands-on work.
Reliable attendance; able to work the full 2nd shift schedule and occasional overtime. Must pass a drug screen.

Conditions and Pay

Stand for a full shift; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Production floor with moderate to high noise, moving machinery, metal chips and coolant; required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots).
$19.50 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half.
