Are you a skilled TIG Welder (GTAW) looking for a high-paying opportunity to work on advanced manufacturing projects?

A growing precision manufacturing facility in the North Austin area is hiring experienced TIG Welders, Aerospace Welders, and Precision Fabricators to join its production team.

This is an exciting opportunity for welders who enjoy detailed, hands-on work involving stainless steel, Inconel, tubing, pipe welding, and precision metal fabrication.

Pay & Schedule

• Level II TIG Welder: $40–$45/hr DOE
• Level III TIG Welder: $45–$50/hr DOE
• Training: Begin on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
• Regular Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–12:00 AM.
• Flexibility: Additional shifts, overtime, nights, or weekends may be required.
• Contract: 6 months with potential for extension or permanent hire based on performance and business needs.

What You'll Do

• Perform precision TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, Inconel, tubing, pipe, and metal assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding specifications.
• Cut, trim, fit, align, and fabricate metal components.
• Perform tack welding and precision fit-up before final welding.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment to produce strong, accurate welds.
• Work on both thin, delicate materials and thicker metal components.
• Use calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and proper penetration.
• Complete basic production documentation and report quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on TIG/GTAW welding experience with tubing, pipe, or precision assemblies.
• Experience with stainless steel, Inconel, or other specialty metals.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with cutting, facing, fitting, and assembling metal components.
• Comfortable working with tight tolerances and precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Willingness to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift.

Additional Experience That Stands Out

• 3–5+ years of TIG welding experience.
• Aerospace, aviation, defense, or high-spec manufacturing experience.
• Experience welding thin-wall tubing or thicker industrial components.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1 aerospace welding standards.
• Welding certifications such as 1F, 3F, 2G, 3G, or 6G.
• Experience with X-ray weld inspections or borescope inspections.
• Previous experience completing weld qualification tests.

Don't have aerospace experience? Welders with strong TIG skills, precision fabrication experience, and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds are encouraged to apply!

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to complete a welding skills assessment or qualification test.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements, including ITAR-related requirements or authorization eligibility.
• Must be flexible with scheduling and overtime based on production needs.
