Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Red Seal Carpenter to join a residential rebuild and renovation project in Petawawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will perform framing and rough carpentry work, interpret construction drawings, and work closely with the Lead Carpenter and site crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing and rough carpentry work for residential rebuild and renovation projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and according to project requirements
• Collaborate with the Lead Carpenter and site crew
• Maintain quality workmanship and adhere to all safety procedures
• Contribute to keeping projects on schedule and meeting construction standards

Qualifications

• Valid Red Seal Carpenter Certification
• Proven experience in framing and residential construction
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of safe work practices

Tools & Equipment

• Hand and power carpentry tools
• Measuring and leveling equipment
• Circular saws, nail guns, drills, and framing tools
• Ladders and scaffolding
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Work Environment

This position is based on a residential housing rebuild and renovation project in Petawawa, ON. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Lead Carpenter as part of an established construction crew.
