Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to support the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees. This role is responsible for maintaining employee payroll records, auditing timesheets, managing attendance and scheduling information, and assisting with payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees.

• Set up new hourly employees in Paycor and temporary employees in Time on Demand.

• Assign, update, and maintain employee schedules within the payroll system.

• Audit daily timesheets, review attendance records, and process necessary corrections.

• Verify vacation time, paid time off, and payroll adjustments are accurately recorded within the appropriate pay periods.

• Respond to payroll-related questions and provide support to employees and various departments.

• Maintain accurate payroll records, organize confidential files, and assist with weekly new-hire orientations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Previous payroll processing experience, preferably in a high-volume or hourly workforce environment.

• Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems; knowledge of Paycor and Time on Demand preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Strong data entry, recordkeeping, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles, payroll procedures, and timekeeping practices.

• Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
