Position Details:

Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Bellingham, WA
Pay: $35.04/hr

 

What You'll Do

Generate G-code programs for vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, 5-axis machines, and turning centers
Create setup instructions within the ERP system for production teams
Develop efficient and repeatable machining processes
Optimize programs based on material type, machine capabilities, and tooling requirements
Utilize machine technologies including probing systems, load monitoring, and tool breakage detection
Create inspection plans based on customer and internal quality requirements
Assist with first-run setups, troubleshooting, and employee training
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
Identify and document non-conforming products and assist with root cause analysis
Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
 

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous CNC programming experience
Strong knowledge of G-code programming
CAD/CAM experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Exceptional understanding of GD&T
Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of inspection equipment and quality control procedures
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC programming
