What You'll Do
- Create innovative design solutions based on client goals and project requirements
- Translate architectural concepts into practical, manufacturable designs
- Develop drawings, layouts, and project documentation using AutoCAD
- Prepare finish schedules, material specifications, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and production teams
- Communicate design concepts to clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Participate in project planning and design review meetings
Ideal Backgrounds
We're interested in candidates with experience in:
- Architecture
- Architectural drafting
- Interior design
- Millwork or cabinet design
- Furniture design
- Design-build construction
- Commercial or retail design
Architectural experience is highly preferred, but professional licensure is not required.
Required Qualifications
- Portfolio demonstrating professional design work
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of professional design experience
- Background in architecture or architectural design
- Knowledge of ADA standards and building codes
- Familiarity with construction methods and building materials
- Experience with 3DS Max is a plus
- Experience working in custom manufacturing or design-build environments
