Turnkey / Apartment Maintenance Technician $18.00+/hr

Express Employment Professionals is now hiring a Turnkey / Maintenance Technician for an apartment complex in the West Columbia area. This is a full-time position with hours of Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. No on-call hours required! Pay ranges from $18.00+hourly, with higher pay considered for candidates with HVAC or plumbing experience and certifications.

This role will include:

-Completing turnkey maintenance checklists to prepare apartments for new tenants (approximately 3 units daily)

-Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing appliances, HVAC systems, and garbage disposals

-Performing minor plumbing repairs, including leaks, toilet replacements, and shower fixtures

-Completing minor electrical repairs, including light fixtures, outlets, and wiring issues

-Performing minor drywall, flooring, concrete, and door repairs

-Checking windows, lighting, and caulking to ensure proper functionality

-Maintaining property grounds, disposing of trash, and organizing maintenance areas

This role will require candidates to:

-Have previous apartment maintenance or general maintenance experience

-Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

-Have basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs

-Be able to work independently and complete maintenance tasks efficiently

-Wear work boots, khaki pants, and a polo shirt (no graphic T-shirts)

-Pass a background check and 5-panel drug screen

-Have basic hand tools (preferred)
