Our client in Coralville, IA is looking for a Route Delivery Driver / Apprentice Service Technician!

 

Position Summary

Our client is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Route Delivery Driver / Apprentice Service Technician to join their team. This cross-trained position combines delivering Culligan products to customers with learning how to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair water treatment equipment. You’ll work alongside experienced service technicians while building the skills needed to grow into a more independent service role.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles along established routes to deliver bottled water, salt, equipment, and other Culligan products.
• Load and unload products safely using appropriate equipment and handling techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer questions and concerns.
• Accurately document deliveries, pickups, service information, and sales opportunities.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, reporting any safety or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment equipment.
• Work alongside experienced technicians to learn basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and water treatment skills.
• Transport tools, equipment, parts, and materials to customer locations.
• Keep vehicles, tools, warehouse areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Communicate with customers and team members to ensure orders and service needs are handled efficiently.
• Participate in required training and continue developing technical skills.

 

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving and insurance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and water treatment concepts.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and solve problems.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move heavier equipment with assistance or proper equipment.
• Previous delivery, route driving, customer service, sales, or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience, commercial driving credentials, or plumbing experience are beneficial but not required.

 

Hours

• Tuesday–Friday, 8:00am–6:30pm
• Four 10-hour shifts per week

 

Pay

$19.00
