Painter Helper (Part Time 8am-12pm M-F)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Painter Helper to support daily operations in an automotive refinishing department. This role assists with vehicle preparation, paint application support, and post-paint finishing while helping maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sand, featheredge, and prepare repaired panels for refinishing.
• Mask and protect vehicles to prevent overspray and ensure quality results.
• Clean and prepare surfaces before paint application.
• Assist with primer application and block sanding, depending on experience.
• Move and stage vehicles and parts for the paint booth.
• Unmask vehicles and assist with denibbing, buffing, and polishing as trained.
• Maintain clean, organized tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow established shop safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, stay focused, and maintain a consistent pace.
• Previous automotive paint preparation or collision repair experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop new skills.
