CDL Class A/B Driver

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: CDL Class A: $30.00/hour | CDL Class B: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a CDL Class A or B Driver to join a local team. This position is responsible for transporting materials between warehouse facilities, suppliers, and customers while supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and experience handling materials and equipment in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport materials between warehouses, suppliers, and customer locations
• Operate tractor-trailers, straight trucks, yard trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes as needed
• Load, unload, and secure materials for safe transportation
• Perform pre-trip and equipment inspections
• Verify shipment accuracy and report discrepancies
• Assist with inventory control and material tracking
• Maintain accurate records of material and trailer movements
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred
• Forklift and material handling experience preferred
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and attendance record

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, load, and unload materials as needed
• Ability to climb in and out of trucks and equipment throughout the day
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
