ADVANCED Certified Medical Assistant (5+ years exp)

Salary: $18/hr

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing resources to the physicians to provide excellent and eddicient patient care. Such resources include the timely processing of outpatient clinic patients and the securing of all diagnostic and other related information required by the phsyician prior to the patient's appointment.

Qualilfications

1. Must have high school diploma or equivalent
2. Current CMA or CCMA license
3. 5+ years experience

Essential Functions

1. Ensures that all incoming labs and diagnostic tests are reviewed as the information is received. Ensures that all routine labs and test results are properly filled in the patient's chart in a timely manner.
2. Ensures that labs or diagnostic test results requiring clinical evaluation are presented to a physician in a timely manner.
3. Cross trained to assist in the preparation prior to outpatient clinic appointments including, but not limited to, lab values, diagnostic tests ordered, prior office notes and prior hospital discharge summaries.
4. Cross trained to assist in triaging patients.
5. Cross trained to assist with front desk duties.
6. Checks patients out by ordering follow up labs or other testing as directed by the physician. Schedules follow up appointments as directed by the physician. Provides educational material to the patients as directed by the physician. 
7. Cross trained to assist with prescription refills done properly and timely sent to the appropriate pharmacy.
