Our client is looking for Paid Canvassers in the Iowa City Area!

Position Summary

Our client is seeking dependable, outgoing Paid Canvassers for a seasonal campaign operation. In this role, you’ll connect with community members through door-to-door outreach, engage voters in conversations about the upcoming election, and help support voter participation efforts. This position is a great fit for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys working outdoors and interacting with people.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned residential areas and engage voters in conversations about the upcoming November 3 election.
• Identify voter support, collect survey responses, and share information about priority issues.
• Assist with voter registration and Get-Out-the-Vote (GOTV) efforts.
• Accurately record voter feedback, contact outcomes, and survey responses using mobile campaign applications.
• Attend shift briefings, safety training, and campaign strategy sessions.
• Communicate with the canvassing director and follow assigned routes and instructions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking with community members at their homes and having respectful conversations.
• Dependable and able to maintain scheduled shifts.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for navigation and data entry.
• Ability to walk several miles per shift and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to staging locations in Johnson County or Scott County.
• Previous canvassing or campaign experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to complete paid training and work a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Hours

Flexible shift options available based on campaign needs, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week.

Pay

$18.00 per hour
