About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring full-time Panel Catchers / Metal Manufacturing Associates for a leading metal fabrication facility in St. Peters, MO (63376).

This is an active, hands-on production role at the end of a high-speed roll-forming machine line. Working in two-person teams, you will catch, guide, inspect, and bundle long metal panels as they exit the machine. This is fast-paced, physically demanding industrial work that requires strong teamwork, steady pace, and active manufacturing experience.

What You Will Do

• Material Catching & Off-Bearing: Catch finished metal panels as they exit the roll-former line; safely guide long, sharp-edged sheets onto runout tables without scratching, bending, or denting the product.

• Inline Quality Assurance: Inspect every panel for defects (scratches, paint imperfections, oil canning, wrong lengths, or improper cuts) and immediately alert line operators to minimize scrap material.

• Stacking, Bundling & Tagging: Count and stack finished panels per customer order; place foam/spacers between layers, band and wrap bundles, and apply shipping tags/labels accurately.

• Material Movement & Staging: Stage finished bundles for forklift pickup and maintain a clean, safety-compliant work area around the line.

• Line Teamwork: Coordinate closely with machine operators and line partners to match high-speed machine output safely.

What You Need

• Manufacturing Background Required: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, heavy production, machine operation, or metal fabrication (Note: Standard pick-and-pack warehouse experience alone will not qualify).

• Forklift Skills Preferred: Prior forklift operating experience is a major plus for staging materials.

• Physical Capability: Ability to handle strenuous physical work, continuously lift, guide, and stack long, awkward metal sheets, and stand for full 8–10 hour shifts.

• Safety Gear (PPE): Steel-toed boots are required on Day 1. (Cut-resistant gloves and required line PPE are provided on-site).

• Communication & Detail Orientation: Strong English communication skills to read order tags, communicate with line operators, and spot quality defects.

• Reliability & Overtime: Proven track record of daily punctuality, reliable transportation to St. Peters, MO, and flexibility for mandatory overtime when required.

• Background Check: Willingness to complete standard pre-employment screening.
