We are recruiting for a local non-profit agency that is in need of a Skilled Carpenter/Framer

 

The primary responsibilities of the role are: 

 

• Frames homes to PHFH standards, working with and without volunteer assistance.
• Assists the On-Site Project Foreman with the daily on-site construction safety meeting for volunteers and homebuyers prior to the commencement of any work activities.
• Directs the work of assigned volunteers and homebuyers at the task level, matching work to skill level.
• Completes workers' compensation accident forms and notifies the HR Manager immediately, if applicable.
• Identifies and recommends potential advantageous building practices and material cost savings.
• Pays attention to construction site detail and overall quality control.
• At the end of each workday, ensures the construction site is clean, swept, and all tools put away.
• At the end of each workday, makes sure all tools are in safe and good working condition.
• Sends damaged tools for repair, daily, if applicable.
• Escalates scope, sequencing, safety, and quality decisions to the On-Site Project Foreman.
• Other duties as assigned.

$23 per hour

 

Tuesday - Saturday 6:30am - 2:30pm
