Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production operations for a manufacturing company specializing in steel furniture and equipment. This individual will be responsible for managing production schedules, maintenance, inventory, staffing, and workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, manufacturing operations, and team leadership, with the ability to take full ownership of the production department.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production and manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time completion of steel fabrication projects.

• Review engineering drawings and blueprints to develop accurate material lists, cut lists, and production requirements.

• Create and manage production schedules, workflow priorities, and project timelines to meet customer demands.

• Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory management, material availability, and online customer-to-business (C2B) orders.

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.

• Manage production employees, including scheduling, tracking labor hours, performance management, hiring, training, and termination decisions.

• Take full ownership and accountability for the production department, including staffing, operational performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in production management or manufacturing leadership, preferably in steel fabrication, metalworking, or equipment manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, manufacturing equipment, and production workflows.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to create material and cut lists.

• Experience managing production schedules, inventory, equipment maintenance, and labor allocation.

• Proven leadership experience, including employee supervision, hiring, performance management, and team development.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple production priorities.

• Experience developing and implementing operational processes, improving production efficiency, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
