Industrial Material Handler 

Put your 2 years + of Forklift experience to good use as a Industrial Material Handler!

A local to Granville County manufacturer is seeking a dependable and experienced forklift driver and more.  In this role, you'll help keep the shop running efficiently by delivering materials to the correct locations, supplying machining workstations, while ensuring parts are properly received, tracked, and moved throughout the facility.  

 

Schedule:  Monday - Thursday 5:30AM - 4PM

Pay:  $19 - $20 / Hour

What You'll Do

• *Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure workstations have the parts, hardware, and supplies needed to keep operations running smoothly.

• *Transport raw materials, work-in-process components, and finished products between receiving, storage, and production areas.

• *Use forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move materials throughout the facility and load or unload delivery trucks.

• *Review job travelers and work documentation to confirm material requirements and proper routing.

• *Deliver materials directly to machining centers and other designated work areas as needed.

• *Maintain accurate records of material receipts, transfers, and quantities distributed.

• *Keep materials organized and follow established safety procedures throughout the facility.

What We're Looking For

• *Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment preferred.

• *Ability to safely and confidently operate industrial forklifts and pallet jacks.

• *Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• *Ability to follow written instructions, track materials, and maintain accurate records.

• *Good communication skills and the ability to work with production teams.

• *Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel; experience with Epicor ERP is a plus.

• *Dependable attendance and a commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirement & Work Environment

• *Ability to stand and walk throughout a 10-hour shift in a manufacturing facility.

• *Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials weighing up to 50–75 pounds.

• *Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, and handling materials.

• *Ability to work around industrial equipment, moving machinery, noise, and changing temperatures.

• *Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• *Overtime and occasional weekend hours may be necessary based on production needs.
