Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) focused on outbound prospecting, cold calling, and scheduling qualified appointments for the sales leadership team.

This is a high-activity role for an individual who is comfortable speaking with business owners, executives, and IT decision-makers and can quickly identify potential business opportunities. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, persistent in their approach, and motivated by achieving measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make 60–80+ outbound calls per day to targeted business prospects.

  • Engage business owners, executives, operations leaders, and IT decision-makers.

  • Introduce the company's technology and IT service offerings, including managed IT services, private cloud solutions, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, and Microsoft services.

  • Ask discovery questions to identify IT challenges, dissatisfaction with current providers, upcoming projects, cloud costs, and contract renewal timelines.

  • Schedule qualified appointments for the CEO and sales leadership team.

  • Send follow-up emails and complete required prospect follow-up activities.

  • Accurately document conversations, prospect pain points, current provider information, purchasing timelines, and next steps.

  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects who are not immediately ready to schedule a meeting.

  • Meet established daily and weekly performance goals for calls, conversations, and appointments.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Confident and professional telephone communication skills.

  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound cold calls.

  • Persistent and goal-oriented without being overly aggressive.

  • Strong active listening, questioning, and communication skills.

  • Ability to engage professionally with senior business executives and decision-makers.

  • Excellent organizational skills and consistent follow-up habits.

  • Competitive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset.

  • Previous experience in sales development, appointment setting, telemarketing, managed IT services (MSP), technology sales, or B2B sales is preferred but not required.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role will be measured primarily by the following activity and results:

Outbound Calls → Meaningful Conversations → Qualified Appointments → Sales Opportunities Created

This is an appointment-setting position, not a sales-closing role. The primary responsibility is to identify potential business opportunities, generate interest in the company's services, and schedule high-quality conversations with the sales leadership team.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of their daily activity, maintain a consistent prospecting routine, and contribute directly to the growth of the sales pipeline.
