Assembly Mechanic $18.00–$18.50/hr  DOE

 

Our Client in Conroe area is hiring Assembly Mechanics with at least 1 year of experience to join its production team. Responsibilities

• Assemble and test machinery, including conveyors and rotating assemblies, according to specifications and shop orders
• Follow the job operations outlined on each work order
• Inspect incoming parts for dimensional accuracy and correct quantity
• Report any dimensional discrepancies to your Supervisor right away
• Work with manufacturing personnel across departments
• Operate a forklift and overhead crane as needed
• Cross-train in other areas to help meet production schedules and manufacturing needs
• Help train new team members
• Pitch in with plant housekeeping
• Complete other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

• At least 1 year of assembly or mechanical experience
• Your own hand tools and the ability to use required measuring tools
• Forklift and overhead crane capability
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment and around chemicals in your assigned department
• Flexibility to work extra hours daily and on weekends as production requires
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training during your first few weeks
• A commitment to safety: you’ll follow all safety and environmental policies, wear required personal safety devices, and report injuries and any activity that could threaten safety or productivity
