2^nd Shift Certified Forklift Operator

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm

A company in the logistics and supply chain industry is seeking a dependable Certified Forklift Operator to support its warehouse shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have experience handling freight, loading and unloading containers, inspecting shipments, and operating a forklift safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to safely load and unload freight and shipping containers.
• Receive, inspect, stage, and prepare incoming freight for shipment.
• Document damaged or compromised freight and take photographs as needed.
• Follow all shipping, receiving, loading, and company safety procedures.
• Inspect forklifts daily and report any issues.
• Complete shipping documentation, daily reports, and department activity reports accurately.
• Use handheld devices for receiving and loading activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily deadlines.

Experience & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of related experience required.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Basic math skills, including working with weights, measurements, and quantities.
• Ability to complete routine reports and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Forklift certification and hazardous handling certification through company training, as required.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with assistance available when needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and move throughout the warehouse.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery, noise, vibration, fumes, and varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow established safety procedures.
