Monday through Friday – 7:30am to 4pm

$20hr to $22hr depending on experience.

A recognized leader in the seismic protection industry since 1966, specializing in the design and manufacturing of spring isolators, seismic rails, structural steel frames, equipment bases, vibration pads, hangers, and other engineered custom solutions, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shipping Clerk to join their team in Chatsworth.

Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations. This hands-on position involves preparing and packing orders, stocking materials, moving freight, and loading trucks using a forklift and pallet jacks. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in hot conditions, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, pack, label, and organize outgoing shipments for delivery.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect materials for accuracy and damage.
• Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, freight, and palletized goods safely.
• Use pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment to transport products.
• Move freight outdoors and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Verify shipping documents, packing lists, and inventory records for accuracy.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and shipping area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Required: Previous forklift operating experience and the ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, packing, stocking, or inventory control preferred.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and move freight safely.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, including in hot weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required by the position.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment:

This is an active, hands-on warehouse position requiring work both indoors and outdoors. The employee must be comfortable working in hot weather, handling freight, operating material-handling equipment, and assisting with truck loading and unloading.
