Assembler

Location: Monroe, NC
Pay: $16.50/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (approximately 50 hours per week)
Overtime: Saturday overtime available as needed
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary Assignment Through the End of the Year with Potential for Long-Term Placement 
Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish preferred

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable Assemblers to join a growing production team in Monroe. This position is expected to run through the end of the year, with the possibility of long-term placement based on performance and business needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling custom products using hand tools, measuring equipment, and production machinery. Team members will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the assembly process and play a key role in maintaining quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read work orders and drawings and follow instructions.

• • Measure materials and finished products to make sure they are the correct size.

  • Use basic math to read measurements, count materials, and check dimensions.

  • Identify the correct materials and parts needed for each job.

  • Assemble products using hand tools, nail guns, staples, glue, and other equipment.

  • Operate production equipment, including saws, shaping machines, and clamp machines.

  • Check products for quality and accuracy before and after assembly.

  • Sand products and make minor corrections when needed.

  • Remove damaged or defective materials.

  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

  • Follow all safety rules and company procedures.

• Important Skill Requirement: Candidates must have basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure, understand measurements, count materials, and verify product dimensions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools, including tape measures, gauges, and calipers.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand simple work instructions.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Work Environment

• On-site position.
• Exposure to production-related noise, dust, temperature changes, and manufacturing equipment.
• Use of various hand tools, measuring devices, carts, conveyors, and production machinery.
