Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist on behalf of a company in Longview, TX.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who can take ownership of daily financial operations, manage accounts receivable and collections, oversee accounts payable, and ensure financial records and obligations are handled accurately and on time.

We are looking for more than a basic bookkeeper. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently while keeping financial operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• QuickBooks: Manage daily bookkeeping, financial transactions, account reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.

• Accounts Receivable & Collections: Monitor outstanding invoices, follow up on past-due balances, resolve payment issues, and help improve cash flow.

• Invoicing: Prepare, enter, process, track, and manage customer invoices accurately.

• Sales Tax: Prepare, file, and submit applicable sales tax payments for Texas and Louisiana.

• ServiceMaster & QRV Fees: Calculate, track, and ensure required fees are paid accurately and on time.

• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, coordinate payments, and maintain payment schedules.

• Accounting Software: Learn and effectively utilize QuickBooks, Restore 365, XM8, and Cotality.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, investigate discrepancies, and assist with financial reporting.

• Monitor deadlines and ensure financial obligations are completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping and accounting experience.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks required.

• Proven experience managing accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections.

• Knowledge of Texas and Louisiana sales tax requirements preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.

• Ability to learn new software quickly and work independently.

• Restoration or insurance industry experience is a plus.
