We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our professional service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial garage doors and openers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, construction experience, and excellent customer service skills. Candidates with hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical work, or remodeling are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace garage doors, door openers, and related hardware in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Perform mechanical repairs on garage door components including springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and tracks.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools effectively and safely.
• Interpret technical drawings, installation instructions, and building plans to ensure proper setup.
• Conduct electrical work related to garage door openers including wiring, sensor alignment, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Engage in heavy lifting of doors and hardware while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and maintenance tips clearly to clients.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after each job.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical knowledge including working with springs, cables, rollers, electrical wiring, and mechanical repairs.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills; familiarity with power tools required
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
