Manufacturing Associate - 1st Shift - Wooster

$18.28/hour

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Associate operates press equipment, packs parts, inspects products for defects, and supports production operations to ensure quality and efficiency. This role may also assist with material handling and other manufacturing duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Support quality and environmental programs.
• Operate presses and perform start-of-shift inspections.
• Insert sheet metal into presses.
• Place finished parts into racks and label appropriately.
• Complete basic manufacturing documentation.
• Troubleshoot quality, press, and setup issues.
• Inspect parts according to work instructions and quality standards.
• Meet established production rates and goals.
• Repair defects in production parts when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, arms, shoulders, and back.
• Forklift experience is a plus when required.
• Pre-start training is required with certificate of completion.
• Background check and drug test required

 

Work Environment & Equipment

• Work is performed on a manufacturing plant floor.
• Equipment may include presses, grinders, files, hammers, conveyor systems, drills, orbital sanders, pry bars, punches, forklifts, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, arm guards, and other required PPE

1st Shift – Monday to Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00pm

2nd Shift– Monday to Thursday, 3:45am to 2:15pm

3rd Shift– Sunday to Wednesday, 7:15pm to 5:45am
