Production Associate – 1st Shift 

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Production Associates for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves production line support, material handling, preparing metal components, and quality inspection. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical work, following production instructions, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Location: Olathe, KS
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $19.00–$22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, currently 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, with Saturdays required as scheduled
Shift: 1st Shift
Overtime: Start time may move to 6:00 AM depending on workload.

Position Summary

The Production Associate will support daily manufacturing operations by loading and unloading metal components, preparing and masking parts, moving materials, and assisting with production line processes. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Essential Functions

• Load, unload, and mask metal components on the production line

• Pull parts and materials according to production and assembly requests

• Arrange components on racks and place racks onto production conveyors

• Transport finished parts and kits to designated departments

• Assist with starting and stopping production lines as directed

• Clean and prepare metal surfaces, removing grease, dust, and other contaminants

• Apply masking materials to components according to production requirements

• Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and supervisor directions

• Inspect parts and completed work to ensure quality standards are met

• Identify and report production issues, defects, or safety concerns

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition

• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Assist with material handling and other production duties as assigned

• Participate in cross-training to support multiple production areas

Skills & Experience Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Previous manufacturing, production, or material handling experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Basic understanding of production processes and quality control

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays based on production needs

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
