KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferred. Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus. Prior experience within ammunition, energetics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing is preferred but not required.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Basic mathematical skills including counting, measurements, and simple calculations. Ability to accurately complete required production documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees may regularly be required to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, stretch, kneel, stoop, grip and handle materials, perform repetitive hand movements, distinguish odors and abnormal conditions, use near and distance vision, hear verbal instructions and alarms, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and may include exposure to moving mechanical equipment, industrial manufacturing processes, moderate noise levels, airborne particles, industrial chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, ammunition components, energetic materials, and explosive manufacturing operations. Employees must follow all safety, security, and PPE requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Operator is responsible for assembling, processing, handling, inspecting, and packaging products in accordance with approved work instructions, specifications, and production schedules. This position supports manufacturing operations by safely performing assigned production activities while maintaining quality standards, productivity expectations, and compliance with customer and contract requirements.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

• Follow all work instructions, standard operating procedures, and supervisor direction.
• Assemble, package, label, and process products in accordance with approved requirements.
• Maintain productivity levels while producing quality products.
• Accurately complete production records and required documentation.
• Properly identify materials, components, and finished goods.
• Identify and report defects, damaged materials, or nonconforming conditions to supervision.
• Maintain product traceability throughout assigned operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and explosive safety requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembly Operations	Assemble products and components in accordance with approved work instructions, specifications, and production requirements.
Packaging Operations	Package, label, and prepare products for storage or shipment in accordance with customer and contract requirements.
Material Handling	Load, move, handle, and organize materials and components as directed.
Inspection Support	Conduct basic visual inspections and report defects, damage, or process abnormalities to supervision.
Documentation	Complete production records, travelers, and other required documentation accurately and legibly.
Quality Support	Follow quality requirements and report product or process concerns when identified.
Safety and Compliance	Follow company policies, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and explosive safety protocols.
Housekeeping	Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and production areas.
