Senior Cost Accountant

Located in Fremont, CA

We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a manufacturer of high-precision vacuum components in Hayward. 

Responsibilities

• Set, maintain, and roll standard costs for manufactured goods
• Analyze and explain purchase price, labor, and overhead variances
• Perform month-end inventory, cost, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close, commissions, and cycle counts
• Partner with Engineering to maintain accurate BOMs and routers
• Deliver margin and job-level profitability reporting to management
• Perform cost-volume-profit, breakeven, and make-vs-buy analyses

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard costing
• Manufacturing ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or Epicor)
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to cross-functional teams

Preferred: Semiconductor or high-precision equipment manufacturing experience.
