Job Summary

The Skilled Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirements. This position requires experience with various welding techniques, the ability to read technical drawings, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using appropriate welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding, as required.

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, work orders, and technical drawings.

• Fit, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding.

• Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality to ensure they meet required specifications.

• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and related fabrication machinery safely.

• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare metal materials for welding.

• Identify and correct welding defects or inconsistencies.

• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.

• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production guidelines.

• Work independently and with team members to meet production deadlines.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience required.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.

• Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.

• Ability to use measuring tools and perform accurate measurements.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and follow instructions.

• Welding certifications preferred, if applicable.
