Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll be responsible for providing professional and courteous assistance to utility customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering inbound customer service calls
• Assisting customers with questions, concerns, and account inquiries
• Processing power outage and emergency calls quickly and professionally
• Providing accurate information and resolving customer issues
• Documenting customer interactions and maintaining accurate records
• Using computer systems to enter and retrieve customer information
• Delivering a calm, courteous, and professional customer experience
• Working as part of a team to meet customer service goals

Customer Service Representative Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous customer service experience
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities
• Professional and courteous phone manner
• Ability to remain calm and helpful when handling customer concerns
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
